This 'Teaching Geography' article was one that I identified as a relevant source when planning the blog, and will also be added to the planned resource.

  1. Many English composers would record & score for posterity their geographical musings in music - Vaughan Williams (The Fens), Elgar (The Malverns), Britten (Aldeburgh) - in the same way an author would roots a novel in a particular town/county. Americans were at it too - Aaron Copland and his Appalachian Suite being an obvious one. I can scribble a few words for you if you like...

    1. That would be great - I'm a big fan of the Appalachian Suite too :) I have a Britten post in draft with Maggi Hambling's Scallop featuring
