This 'Teaching Geography' article was one that I identified as a relevant source when planning the blog, and will also be added to the planned resource.
It's written by Lucy Fryer and can be read by subscribers to the journal.
Many English composers would record & score for posterity their geographical musings in music - Vaughan Williams (The Fens), Elgar (The Malverns), Britten (Aldeburgh) - in the same way an author would roots a novel in a particular town/county. Americans were at it too - Aaron Copland and his Appalachian Suite being an obvious one. I can scribble a few words for you if you like...
